Old Crime Ridden Housing Replaced

HAMILTON, Ohio (Larry Davis) -- What used to be an outdated, low income housing project is now an attractive neighborhood development.

The project is bringing new life to an area that's had more than its share of problems.  Larry Davis in Hamilton tells us why the changes are much more than cosmetic.

In the neighborhood that houses the Hamilton Police Department there have been some really big changes.  These changes are for the better.

The Bambo Harris housing projects are being replaced with Beacon Point.  It is hope that this modern group of homes gives the neighborhood a new face.

The new housing arrives just as improvements have been made across the street at the Booker T. Washington Community Center, the longtime anchor of the neighborhood.  The improvements here go hand in hand with the new look Beacon Point brings to the neighborhood.

A new look breeds a new attitude that will hopefully result in a lower crime rate.
