Witnesses Testify in Adam 'Pacman' Jones Trial

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- A Bengals player is in the spotlight today, but Adam 'Pacman' Jones is not on the field. Instead he faces an assault charge in court.

Trial is under way after Jones allegedly hit a woman outside of a bar in June. Local 12 news reporter Adam Clements joins us live with Monday's testimony.

Jones waived his right to a jury trial, so a judge is hearing the case.

After opening statements, witnesses took the stand to describe what happened that night. The prosecution says Jones started it. Jones' attorney says it was self-defense. A witness who was there says the woman who was hit, is known for running her mouth. The witness says she saw the woman pour a bottle of beer on Jones and then things escalated quickly.

More witnesses will take the stand, including fellow Bengals player Chris Lewis-Harris.
We have a crew in the courtroom and we'll bring you more testimony.
