Stand Down for Homeless Veterans in Bellevue

BELLEVUE, Ky (WKRC) -- Homeless veterans are getting some much needed help at a Stand Down event Friday.

Many veterans have a hard time transitioning from military to civilian live. Some have fallen on hard times and they don't know where to start to turn their life around.

At the Bellevue Veterans Club, Tri-State veterans are getting eye exams, medical and dental exams, personal hygiene items, counseling, haircuts, clothing and a good meal.

All services are free. Organizations and volunteers are donating their time at the event. It runs until 3 p..m.

If you know a veteran who needs help, or are one yourself, you can call 877-4AID-VET. That's 877-424-3838.
