Man Faces 9 Burglary Charges, Defense Blames PTSD

CLEVES, Ohio (WKRC) -- An Iraq war veteran charged in a string of break-ins blames post traumatic stress disorder.

29-year-old Christopher Demoss faces charges of burglary.  Demoss is accused of breaking into nine homes around the Cleves and Harrison areas.

In court, his attorney says PTSD as well as a back injury and hearing loss led to Demoss getting involved with drugs.  Investigators say thousands of dollars in property, including jewelry and guns, were taken.

Another man, Christopher Davis, is charged with complicity.  Deputies say Davis drove the getaway car and acted as a lookout for Demoss.
