Policeman Involved in Two-Vehicle Collision

INDEPENDENCE, Ky (WKRC) -- A Kenton County Police Officer is involved in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon.

Officer Jacob L. Noe Jr. was traveling westbound on Independence Station Road when his marked police cruiser was hit.

The driver of the 1999 Subaru, Michael Greenwood, was traveling eastbound when his car went partially off the road due to driver inattention.  Greenwood abruptly steered his car back onto the roadway causing it to slid into Officer Noe's police cruiser.

Officer Noe was transported to St. Elizabeth Edgewood with minor injuries.

Greenwood was treated at the scene and released.

The crash is still under investigation.  Police do not think drugs or alcohol were a factor in the collision.
