High School Football Player Focus of Criminal Investigation

FAIRBORN, Ohio (WKRC) -- A starting senior player of the Springboro High School football team won't be on the field Friday because he's the focus of a criminal investigation.

Officers have not released the player's name because he is a juvenile and he's not been charged.

According to police, the player admitted he stole a credit card from a friend at Careflight Field.  Another teammate complained he was missing money.

An incident report says the teen told his coach he understood the serious nature of the case and believed he did not deserve the trust of his teammates.
