Low-flying Plane Is Part of GE Employee Appreciation; Event Canceled

New information: The flyover of the Dreamliner has been canceled.

The new United 787 will not fly over the Evendale GE plant Wednesday.  Reports say there was a problem with crew availability to execute the flyover.

EVENDALE, Ohio (WKRC) -- If you see a large, low-flying plane in the Tri-State Wednesday afternoon, don't be alarmed. It's part of an employee appreciation event at GE Aviation facilities in Evendale and West Chester.

United Airlines will do a fly-over of the facility with a new Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The Dreamliner is powered by GE Aviation's GEnx engines, developed in Cincinnati.

The fly-over was set for 2:30 p.m.but has been rescheduled for 4 p.m.
