Husband's Former Girlfriend Called to Testify in Stykes Case
BROWN COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) -- A grand jury is meeting in Brown County to hear evidence in the murder of a pregnant mother and the wounding of her daughter.
Local 12 News was first to tell you investigators planned to subpoena a person refusing to sit down with investigators.
Those detectives are working to find the person who opened fire, killing Brittany Stykes as she drove along State Route 68 between Georgetown and Ripley. The August attack left her toddler with a bullet wound to the head.
Samantha Grubbs was called to testify Wednesday morning. She has a child from a past relationship with the murder victim's husband.
Upon leaving the courthouse, she confirmed to our Deborah Dixon that she has refused to speak with police. She also told us Brittany was a great stepmother for her son and she has no idea no idea who killed her.
Deb is still gathering information in Georgetown. We will have that and her interview with Samantha Grubbs tonight at 6 on Local 12 News.
