Drawbridge Inn Liquidation Sale Starts Thursday
FORT MITCHELL, Ky. (Joe Webb) -- Everything from pots and pans to suits of armor are up for grabs when the Drawbridge Inn liquidation sale starts Thursday.
Liquidators have been hired to sell off everything inside the building before the new owner tears it down for redevelopment.
Anything that anyone can get off the building or out of this building is going, said Alison Kabealo, president of Hotel Content Liquidators.
The 43-year-old hotels London Hall is packed with the things that make a hotel: beds, blankets, microwaves, furniture, phones, lamps and TV sets. There is all of the equipment from a commercial kitchen and commercial laundry.
The sale opens to the public Thursday morning at 10am. Wednesday, some professional buyers walked away with truckloads of goods.
We bought about 20 dressers, 30 refrigerators, probably 20-some lamps, 30-some chairs and close to 20 nightstands, said Roger Wilkerson of Wilkerson Properties.
In addition to the run-of-the mill trappings of a hotel, the Drawbridge sale also includes hundreds of paintings, a handful of chandeliers, some suits of armor, replicas of medieval weapons and loads of stained glass. If buyers have cash or credit cards with them and can get the stuff off the wall and out the door, its theirs.
Kabealo says she is certain the sale will clear the building.
Even though they understand that its been closed for awhile, they still want to come in and get a piece of whats still here.
The sale runs for 30 days or until everything is gone. The sale hours are 10am to 6pm Mondays through Saturdays and Noon to five on Sundays.
