Birth Control Mandate Against Some Religions

SYDNEY, Ohio (WKRC) -- Ohio business owners who challenged the birth control mandate under the new health reform law win a round in federal court.

Two brothers say the mandate to offer contraceptive coverage to their employees would make them violate their Roman Catholic beliefs.

The ruling came Friday from a divided appeals court panel in the District of Columbia.  The panel says the mandate limits the right of free exercise of religion.

The brothers own a food and logistics company in Sydney. the issue will likely be resolved by the US Supreme Court.
