Muslim Rights Group Files Complaint Against Nky DHL

HEBRON, Ky. (WKRC) - A Muslim civil rights group says 24 workers at the DHL Express facility in Hebron were wrongly fired and it's filing a complaint.

According to the Cincinnati chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Cincinnati), the facility has violated the workers' right to perform their Muslim prayers. It's filing an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission complaint.

According to the group, the workers had been using their break time to perform the evening prayer. When DHL changed its flexible break policy, the workers reportedly told the company it violated their legal rights to practice their faith.

A request by the Associated Press for comment was made Thursday to DHL Express.
