Troopers Find Two Kilos Heroin During Traffic Stop

HAMILTON COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) -- Two suspects are facing felony drug charges after the Ohio State Highway Patrol finds two kilos of heroin during a traffic stop.

38-year-old Darvia L. Tate and 36-year-old Keeisha J. Huff were arrested and charged with possession of heroin and trafficking in heroin.  Both charges are fist-degree felonies.  The drugs are valued at more than $300,000 dollars.

Troopers initiated to traffic stop for a registration violation on I-74 near milepost 2 around 12:40a.m. November 9th.  A drug-sniffing canine alerted police of the illegal drugs. After a probable cause search the two kilos of heroin were found concealed in the rear cargo area.

Tate is from Indianapolis, Indiana.  Huff is from Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. 

Both women will be arraigned Monday.
