Can Lighting Affect Your Taste?
Experts at Oxford University say that light has an effect on your sense of taste.
Bars around the world are now trying out something called "neuro- gastromony." That means green mood lighting and living grass around the bar itself, apparently under these conditions, can affect your sense of taste bringing the earthy tones of whiskey to the forefront. For some people, having red lighting and red fruits in a bar could bring out the sweetness in whiskey. Sensory experts say the real point is that your lasting memory is based on environment, just as much as the food or drink.
