Family Of Slain Security Guard Sues Hotel
The family of a security guard, stabbed to death while working at a downtown hotel, has filed a lawsuit against the hotel.
Joseph Tucker Junior killed 58-year-old Richard Campbell in December 2012. A judge sentenced him to 25 years to life.
Campbell was found dead in a stairwell of the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza. Tucker said he was doing alcohol and drugs at the time.
Campbell's siblings have filed suit against the hotel, claiming the hotel left exit doors open, allowing homeless people to sleep in the stairwells.
The suit claims the policy posed a danger to both patrons and employees.
