Property From Dozens Of Car Break-Ins Displayed

Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones announces the recovery of personal property from at least 100 recent car break-ins.

23 year-old Courtney Pratt of Hamilton and two male teens have been charged.

Jones says the thieves were targeting 20-30 cars a night throughout southwest Ohio, including West Chester, Oxford, and Liberty Township areas in Butler County, as well as Mason, Carlisle, Franklin, Madeira, Cleves, and Colerain Township.

Police recovered cell phones, wallets, purses, credit cards, handguns, cameras, I-Pods and pocket knives.

The juveniles, both 17-year-old males from Hamilton, have been charged with felony counts of Receiving Stolen Property and Theft in Butler County Juvenile Court.

Pratt has been charged so far with felony "RSP" and misdemeanor Misuse of a Credit Card through Butler County Area Two Court.  Additional charges will likely result in charges from several other jurisdictions.
