Police Search For Suspect In Jazzfest Hit And Run Incident

AVONDALE (WKRC-TV)- Police are looking for the driver who hit a woman in Avondale over the weekend.

A North Fairmount couple was walking to a night spot after the Macy's Music Festival wrapped up when the driver hit the woman as she crossed the street.

Tesa Isome spent two days in the intensive care unit at the hospital.

Isome's brain is swollen, her leg is badly injured and has stitches.

Her husband recalls what he remembers when the car hit her on Reading Road.

"I seen the car coming up and we couldn't turn around and go back," said Tesa's husband, Edward Isome.

"The car was doing at least 40-45 miles an hour. I had her by the hand when I seen the car, so I'm rushing to get across the street. I got her by the hand to get across the street and my wife wasn't there. She was actually in the air. I seen her tumble in the air a couple of time and then hit the ground," he added.

Witnesses say the car was a dark-colored Toyota Camry with damage to the windshield on the passenger's side.
