Colerain Township High Speed Crash Kills Two

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Counselors will be at McAuley High School Saturday until 4pm to help fellow students with the sudden death of a 16-year old girl. Rachel McGrath was involved in a fatal accident Friday night in Colerain Township.

A 19-year-old boy is also dead after the high speed crash, his name has not been released.

A car was driving too fast when it lost control and slammed into a parked car on Sheed Rd. around 7:45 p.m., according to investigators. The crash caused the parked car to roll over.

16-year-old Rachel McGrath in the car died at the scene and a 19-year-old boy riding in the backseat was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He later died.

The driver of the car was also taken to UC Medical Center. The condition of that person is unknown.

McAuley will also be holding a prayer vigil in the auditorium Sunday at 4pm.

Investigators said alcohol and drugs may have also played a role in the crash.
