Greyhound Bus Flipped on I-75 in Butler County

BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio (Hannah Jones/ Dave Sleater) -- BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio (Hannah Jones/ Dave Sleater) -- All lanes of I-75 have re-opened in Butler County after a Greyhound Bus crash early Saturday morning. 

At 4 a.m. Saturday morning, a Greyhound bus flipped after driving off the southbound lanes of  I-75.

 I-75 was shut down in both directions from Highway 129 (or Butler County Veterans Highway) to State Route 63 for most of the morning. 

Butler County Sheriff's Department has reported a total of 35 people hurt in the crash.  

Twenty-nine people were transported to area hospitals via ground transportation. Some of those taken to hospitals have been treated and released.

Six were taken from the scene by medical helicopter with injuries ranging from minor to severe. 

The Greyhound bus departed from Cincinnati and was on its way to Detroit, Michigan. 

Fifty-two people were on board the Greyhound bus at the time of the crash. Seventeen uninjured passengers were returned to the Cincinnati station to board another bus to Detroit.  

Investigators held a press conference at the scene at 7:00 a.m. Were told although some injuries are serious none are considered life threatening.
