Gadget Emits Fragrances from iPhone

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- If you've ever wished that you could experience your smartphone with not just your eyes and ears but your nose too, a new gadget allows you to that.

"Scentee" is a round accessory that plugs into a device's headphone socket and emits fragrances.  You can load it up with various scent cartridges, everything from lavender and rose to coffee and beef.

Scentee also works with a mobile app that triggers the release of fragrances based on your phone's social activity.  You can program it to put off a scent for your Facebook notifications, e-mail messages or alarm clock.

Right now, the only way to buy the device is through Amazon Japan.  But there are plans underway to make Scentee available to the US market, along with new scents like fruits and bacon.
