City of Cincinnati Snow Parking Restrictions Announced
CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- The City of Cincinnati has declared a snow parking emergency, which puts into effect parking restrictions along designated snow emergency routes beginning at 1:30 pm today. This will remain in effect until further notice.
All vehicles must be removed off of snow emergency routes by 1:30 pm. Vehicles may be ticketed and towed if not moved off of snow emergency routes. A list of designated snow emergency routes can be found HERE.
In addition, the City asks that citizens find off-street parking (such as a driveway, garage or nearby lot) to get as many vehicle off the roads as possible. This will allow plows and salt trucks to treat as much of the road as possible.
When parking on residential streets, pull close to the curb to allow snow equipment room to maneuver on streets safely.
With heavy accumulation and drifting snow in the roadway, there may be hazardous driving conditions. Citizens should use extreme caution. Citizens should monitor weather conditions and local forecasts if they plan to be out on the streets.
The City of Cincinnati follows the Snow Emergency levels announced by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office with respect to travel restrictions.
If your vehicle has been towed, you may call 591-6000.
Slick spots develop can develop quickly when temperatures drop below freezing on wet road surfaces. Be especially cautious on elevated roadways.
Take your time driving to your destination and use your seatbelt.
