Man Dies After Car Crashes Into New Richmond Creek

NEW RICHMOND, Ohio (WKRC) - The Ohio State Highway Patrol reports that a man died after crashing into a creek in the New Richmond area Tuesday night.

The accident happened about 7:30 p.m. on State Route 132 near Fagins Run Road. That's in Clermont County's Ohio Township. A preliminary investigation indicates that a Honda Civic went off the left side of the road, hit a guard rail and overturned several times. The vehicle landed on its top and was partially submerged.

The driver died at the scene. He has been identified as 23 year-old Nicholas Wilson of New Richmond.

Officials say the driver was wearing a seat belt. The incident remains under investigation.
