Hunters Feeding the Hungry

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKRC) -- A number of people will have full bellies thanks to a huge donation by hunters in Ohio.

The hunters donated enough venison for nearly 234,000 meals to local food banks during the 2013 hunting season.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, along with farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry, say hunters donated more than 50,000 pounds of meat from more than one-thousand white tail deer.

One processed deer amounts to about 50 pounds of venison which comes out to be about 200 meals.
