Man accused of stealing from Walnut Hills church and home

WALNUT HILLS, Ohio (WKRC) --  A man accused of stealing from a Walnut Hills church and a home appeared in court Tuesday.

Police say 19-year-old Matthew Williamson went to Saint Anthony of Padua on December 16 and offered to shovel snow. Police say he had no intention of doing the work and stole $40 and jewelry.

Williamson is also accused of stealing from a home on Upland Drive on December 11. According to court papers, he told the homeowner that he had run out of gas. When the victim went to get money to give to him, police say Williamson's accomplice got in through an unlocked back door and both of them robbed the homeowners.

A judge set his bond at $10,000 for the two counts of burglary.
