Miami Valley Gaming opens its doors

TURTLECREEK TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) -- People lined up in the cold this morning for the grand opening of the Tri-State's first racino. Miami Valley Gaming opened its doors at 11 a.m. Thursday.

It's a combination of the old Lebanon Raceway and a new slot machine gaming facility located on State Route 63. The racino will stay open 24/7.

Developers say the racino will include 1,600 video lottery terminals and a harness racetrack that will accommodate more than 1,000 fans. There will be four restaurants. Miami Valley Gaming says the racino is expected to generate at least $24 million a year for local communities and provide 500 jobs.

The slots start at a penny and go up to 300 dollars a pull.
