CHCA Teacher Put on Leave for Nude Photos Online
SYCAMORE TOWNSHIP, Ohio (Joe Webb) -- Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy has placed a middle school teacher on administrative leave after discovering nude photos of her online.
The pictures first appeared November 23rd on a website that solicits photos for revenge.
"There have been some photos that were compromised and shared digitally," school spokesperson Jennifer Murphy said Wednesday morning.
She has been put on an administrative leave of absence at this time and until further notice.
The school is conducting its own investigation. The photos appear to have been taken in a home and car.
There is no connection between the pictures and the school.
They include full frontal nudity of the teacher. They have been viewed nearly 200,000 times on 3 different websites. Some of the commenters on the pictures claim to be students.
Even if the pictures were posted without the teachers knowledge, she has little recourse, legally.
"There's not a lot of good news," said civil rights attorney Al Gerhardstein. "Federally there have been several attempts to pass statutes that would regulate this. Its never happened. So we don't have any federal laws that directly help her. Its pretty limited what you can do once your image is out there on the internet and that's scary to people."
