Ohio Gay Marriage Ruling

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- A federal judge declares that Ohio's ban on gay marriage is unconstitutional, but his ruling only applies to death certificates.

With his ruling, Judge Timothy Black orders state officials to recognize such unions on death certificates.

His decision was a lengthy one and in it Judge Black says that, "Once you get married lawfully in one state, another state cannot summarily take your marriage away."

The judge's decision stems from a lawsuit filed by two local gay men, one of whom recently died, and they wanted to be recognized on their death certificates as married.
