Deal Reached in Iran's Nuclear Program

SWITZERLAND (CBS) A major deal has been reached over Iran's nuclear program.

President Obama announced the historic agreement that would limit Iran's nuclear program.

Secretary of State John Kerry and diplomats from several countries negotiated with Iranian leaders through night hammering out the final details in Switzerland.

The Iranian Foreign Minister tweeted 'we have reached an agreement'.

In that agreement Iran will temporarily limit its nuclear program.

In exchange nations will ease harsh sanctions that have damaged Iran's economy.

Iran has claimed it only wants to enrich uranium for nuclear power.

If this initial deal holds, there will be final stage negotiations down the road to ensure Iran does not build a nuclear weapon.
