Osgood family says it wasn't ordered to shut down Christmas display

OSGOOD, Ind. (WKRC) -- Some viewers have been concerned about a  Christmas display in Osgood, Indiana. But it seems reports that the town  made a family turn off their yearly Christmas display are not true, according to the family that runs the display.

This is what this years Lohrum Christmas Extravaganza in Osgood looks like, seen on the Lohrum Facebook page.

Rumors had been circulating that the Lohrums had been ordered to turn the lights off, but the family says it was their decision. They said it was a public safety concern because so many people were stopping on the road to see the lights. The family also said some viewers were not being respectful to the properties around them.

The full display can been seen on Christmas Eve.
