Homeland Security Gives Grants for Body Armor
BELLEVUE and PARK HILLS, Ky.(WKRC) -- Two northern Kentucky communities get grant money that will be used to protect their police officers.
The cities of Park Hills and Bellevue were among those awarded grants from homeland security.
The money will be used to buy body armor for officers. Homeland security says its goal is to supply law enforcement officers with the tools needed to do the job.
The money came from the sale of confiscated weapons.
