Police Chief in Court Facing Domestic Battery Charges

AURORA, Ind. (WKRC) -- A tri-state police chief accused of beating his wife is suspended with pay.

The Aurora Board of Public Works unanimously made the decision in an executive session Wednesday.

Chief Bryan Fields faces domestic battery charges.  He is accused of punching his wife in the ribs, headbutting one of her sons and punching another in the head.

As part of the suspension Fields must give up his gun, badge, and work cell phone.
