Suspect named in Avondale double homicide

AVONDALE, Ohio (WKRC) -- Police have charged a suspect in the murders of a man and a woman in an Avondale home early Thursday morning. Two children were in the home at the time.

Police believe 29-year-old Brandon Thomas, of Lexington killed 31-year-old Adam Bostic and 28-year-old Betty Thomas in the couple's Knott Street home. They had been tied up and shot to death.

The children were not hurt. Police say they are safe, warm and being cared for. A family member tells Local 12 the girls are 7-years-old and 4-years-old. Adam's cousin, Tecola Harrison, says family members are shocked that he and Betty are gone and their girls are orphans. "It's devastating, it's devastating. Nobody is going to love them like Adam and Betty did, you had to see them in action. That was daddy's girls. I'm telling you one looked just like Adam, the youngest one looked just like Betty."

Police have a warrant out for Brandon Thomas' arrest. Thomas may be driving a green or gray 1995 Ford Explorer, Ohio registration GBG 9532.  Thomas should be considered armed and dangerous. Police say he is not related to Betty Thomas.
