Other Judges to Handle Cases of Tracie Hunter

HAMILTON COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) -- Officials in Hamilton County Juvenile Court are forced to find judges to handle Judge Tracie Hunter's cases after she was indicted Friday on eight felony charges.

The Ohio Supreme Court removed Hunter from the bench while her own case moves through the court system.  According to the court administrator, the other juvenile court Judge John Williams, and visiting Judge Sylvia Hendon, will take Hunter's delinquency cases.

Visiting Judge Tom Lipps will take Hunter's custody and dependency cases.  Lipps is also handling a backlog of around 45 cases on which Hunter had not yet ruled.

It's not clear what the exact total will turn out to be.  Hunter was scheduled for around 20 hearings per week, plus other cases where hearings were not required.
