UC Students Move in Early Due to Weather Concerns
CINCINNATI (Brad Underwood) -- Residence halls at the University of Cincinnati opened up earlier than planned due to the threat of weather expected on Sunday.
Out of town students spent Saturday afternoon carting belongs into campus dorms and were provided heat and go meals for this weekend.
Back from Austria, Jinhee Na says this is the first time shes seen snow this year.
I went home and there was no snow and the weather was really warm, said Na. Im exhausted already, I have 8am class on Monday and heard there will be a lot of snow, wind, cold.
Nas roommate, Lan Vu is from Vietnam and has never seen snow until this weekend. Wow, its wonderful , sadi Vu. Its great, I couldnt wait to see snow.
Resident Assistant Zana Percy says she was surprised that so many students chose to come back early. More than I expected, somebody from next door came over and said we are a lot busier than they are, said Percy.
On Sunday, the residence hall offices will reopen at 8:30a.m. to continue the check-in process and ask that students arrive prior to 4p.m.
In other UC news, campus Public Safety has announced that NightRide is expanding. NightRide is a free night time transportation for students and staff. NightRide now has three additional vans for the campus wide service.

Sunday - Wednesday nights from Midnight to 5AM
Saturday - Sunday mornings from 2AM to 5AM
