Supporters of Tracie Hunter march in MLK parade

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Supporters of embattled Hamilton County Juvenile Court Judge Tracie Hunter took part in Monday's Martin Luther King, Jr. parade

Judge Hunter and her supporters marched behind a banner that showed the judge alongside a picture of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The banner read "injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."

A grand jury indicted Judge Hunter earlier this month on nine felony counts that include charges including tampering with evidence, forgery, and theft from office. Her supporters say the charges are trumped up and suggest they are motivated in part by race. Judge Hunter is currently disqualified from serving on the bench while her case moves forward.

Several other groups including streetcar opponents and the homeless coalition marched in today's parade. Organizers told Local 12 everyone is welcome, but no specific groups are invited to take part.
