Abortion Facility Appeals to Stay Open
SHARONVILLE, Ohio (WRKC) -- An abortion facility in Sharonville fights to stay in business.
The Ohio Department of Health ordered the Lebanon Road Surgery Center closed earlier this month because it does not have a written transfer agreement with a hospital in case of a patient emergency. These agreements are required by law but were made unattainable to abortion providers in the last state budget.
The facility filed its appeal Tuesday in Hamilton County Common Pleas court saying its complied with state laws and that the order is contrary to the law.
The facility will remain open while appealing.
