Army Ranger Salute Gone Viral: Update on His Progress
SAN ANTONIO, Texas (WKRC) -- The Army Ranger from Cincinnati who captured the world's attention with a salute from his hospital bed makes progress in his recovery.
The picture of Josh Hargis went viral after he was badly wounded in a raid against insurgents in Afghanistan.
Hargis is a graduate of Dater High School. He lost both legs and suffered other injuries. He currently is getting therapy at an army medical center in San Antonio.
Hargis says he has gotten letters of support from around the world. His brother plans a 222-mile walk next month to raise money for Hargis and his wife.
