Bengals Announce Extension from NFL for Blackout Deadline

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- The Bengals just announced the NFL has granted them an extension to sell out the game against the Chargers on Sunday.

Thursday, the team told Local 12 they do not have a number of tickets that remain on sale for the game. The deadline for a sell out without the extension was 1 p.m. Thursday.  The new deadline is Friday at 4p.m.
Wild Card games can be harder to sell out. Tickets for this game have only been on sale for a week after the match ups were announced. Add $86 and $96 ticket prices after holiday spending, and it's a tough mix for sales. If the game doesn't sell out, it will be the first playoff game in 10 years to be blacked out on TV.
Should the game sell out, you can watch it right here on Local 12 at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Before that, catch the Fifth Third Bank Playoff Edition of Bengals Weekly, Saturday at 7 p.m.
