Driver Causes Crash While Passed Out From Heroin

AVONDALE, Ohio (WKRC) -- An arrest warrant is out for the man who plowed into two pedestrians in Avondale killing one of them.

The collision happened last Thursday at Vine and Glenwood.  The car, driven by 23-year-old Matthew Culver, left the road, hit two people standing on the sidewalk, then struck a house.

The warrant says Culver used heroin and lost consciousness from the effects of the heroin.  He passed out while driving.  43-year-old Monisa Barnes died from her injuries.  12-year-old Shalanna Wiggins was seriously hurt.

Culver and his two passengers were also treated for injuries.
