Possible Lead in Highway Officer Killing

BARDSTOWN, Ky. (WKRC) -- Investigators say they could have a break in the case of a deadly shooting of a police officer who grew up in Clermont County.

Kentucky State Police investigators want to find out if the fatal shooting of Bardstown officer Jason Ellis could be linked to a killing on a highway in Pennsylvania.

According to the Louisville Courier Journal, investigators are working with Pennsylvania authorities after a man was found dead on a highway there.

Ellis was on his way home from work in May when he was shot on an exit ramp.  Investigators say the shooting was an ambush.
