Health Alert: Foods to Fight Diabetes
CINCINNATI (LIZ BONIS) -- A study from the Journal of Nutrition may have discovered a compound that could lower the risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes.
The study took a closer look at people who consumed more food and drinks with Anthocyanins and how it can work more like a medicine for the body. Berries, red wine, and green tea all have compounds of Anthocyanin. People who consumed these foods on a regular basis appeared to have had a lower chance of developing Type 2 Diabetes. The discovery is a relative new one and more research is currently in progress.
