Bill Passes in House Gives School Credit for Religious Activities
CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Public high school students could get class credit for religious activities under a bill passed by the Ohio House.
The bill would give school boards authority to excuse students during regular school hours to receive religious instruction at churches, mosques or temples.
Districts could not spend any public money on religious education, including transportation . The bill now goes to the Senate for consideration.
