Snow plow driver talks about busy day

FLORENCE, Ky. (WKRC) -- Local 12 caught up with a snow plow driver as he worked to clear streets and parking lots in Florence Tuesday morning.

Nathan Kirby told us what a snow event like this is like for the crews, "busy, a lot of in and out of the truck, putting salt in the hoppers, just back and forth. It's dangerous, especially here there's a lot of trucks. We're trying to keep it safe for them and go, go, go."

The road conditions have forced several communities to declare snow emergencies. Remember a level one means roads are hazardous and drivers need to be cautious.

A level two means drivers should only be out on the roads if necessary. A level three means roadways are restricted and only emergency personnel should be out.
