Police: Suspect Flees in Car and Scuffs Officer Shoe

BELLEVUE, Ky. (Deb Dixon) -- Bellevue Police believe they know who sped away dangerously close to a police officer.

And he's got a record of doing the same thing several times before.

Police are looking for Mark Harp of Manchester, Ohio.  Police in Adams County linked him to the car that sped out of the UDF lot in Bellevue, Kentucky coming dangerously close to a police officer.

Officers were called to the UDF because a man inside kept ducking in and out of the bathroom.  Police were there when he got in his car and asked to search it.  Instead he locked the door and sped off past a police officer getting so close he scuffed the officer's shoe with the tire.

You can see the scuff mark on the toe of the officer's shoe.

Bellevue police are looking for Harp and seeking charges of fleeing and evading and wanton endangerment.  Mark Harp has a record that includes three fleeing and evading convictions and a wonton endangerment out of Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky.

If you can help Police find Harp call Crime Stoppers at 352-3040.
