The Number One News Team Welcomes New Anchor Monday
CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- LOCAL 12 News, Cincinnati's number one news organization, is welcoming a familiar face back to local airwaves. Ohio native Sheila Gray will join the powerhouse Good Morning Cincinnati team March 10, 2014.
A familiar face to many, Gray was previously in the Cincinnati market for 14 years. She will join John Lomax as co-anchor for Good Morning Cincinnati from 4:30am to 7am on Local 12. Gray will also co-anchor Good Morning Cincinnati at 7am with Bob Herzog on Star 64. News Director Kirk Varner said, "We are so pleased to have this opportunity to bring one of Cincinnati's favorite morning anchors back home to become part of the market's number one morning news team, right here at Local 12."
Sheila has spent the past six months commuting to Dayton, Ohio as a special correspondent for the Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. She had this to say about returning to the morning news in Cincinnati, "I am so happy to be coming home to Cincinnati and I am looking forward to becoming a part of the Local 12 Family."
Sheila not only returns to Cincinnati, but also reconnects with general manager Jon Lawhead who first brought her to Tristate viewers. Lawhead said, "We couldn't be more pleased to welcome Sheila. She has been a part of our community for so long and will bring her special qualities to Good Morning Cincinnati. I'm very proud that she's part of our team at Local 12."
Sheila Gray's commitment to professionalism is the perfect compliment to the already solid news team at Local 12. Tune in to Good Morning Cincinnati and Good Morning Cincinnati on Star 64 to see Sheila, beginning March 10, 2014.
