Children make table setting to raise money for diabetes research

MADEIRA, Ohio (WKRC) -- Children get creative by making a table setting at Mad Potter on Carmago Road in Madeira Saturday afternoon.

Kids with diabetes made potter dishes as part of a table setting as part of the Table for Hope project.

The table setting will be auctioned off at the Cincinnatian of the Year Gala for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

The gala is considered a top local charity event where Local 12's Brad Johansen will emcee it.

The table setting has sold for up to $6,000 in the past. For several years, Bengals head coach, Marvin Lewis, and his wife, Peggy, have bought it.
