Twin attackers in court on new assault charges

HAMILTON COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) -- A pair of teenage twins sentenced last week for beating a man because they were bored face charges for an assault at their school.

A judge Wednesday appointed Terrell and Tyree Mizell's grandfather as their guardian for future court proceedings.  The boys legal problems date back to August 2012 when they and four others attacked Pat Mahaney in North College Hill.  He died eleven months later.

Because the prosecution didn't know about the assault charge at Aiken High School, where the Mizell twins are freshmen, they agreed to allow the 14-year-old to serve their nine-month sentence for beating Mahaney at a treatment center.

Now the prosecutor wants the twins sent to juvenile detention.
