Firefighters keep fire from spreading to gasoline tanker

MT. AIRY, Ohio (WKRC) -- A gasoline tanker truck and a few homeowners are relieved after firefighters kept a fire from spreading.

The driver was on Colerain Friday afternoon when he heard a pop. A few minutes later the driver saw his cab was on fire and he stopped near West Fork. He was able to get out safely.

Two fire trucks were called out. One put out the cab fire. The other was focused on keeping the tanker from catching fire. The tanker didn't leak.

Colerain was closed in both directions from West Fork to Blue Spruce for a time.
