Million Dollar Bond Set for Murder Suspects

WARREN COUNTY, Ohio (Jeff Hirsh) -- Police found the body of 18-year-old Justin Back one week ago in Preble County.

Monday, the defendants charged with aggravated murder for his death appeared in Warren County court.  The case is in Warren County because detectives believe Back was murdered in his house in Waynesville.

Tim Mosley and Austin Meyers, both 19, said nothing as a detective outlined the case against them.  The pair allegedly staked out Back's house the day before.  One of the suspects was a friend of Back's.

Mosley and Meyers also allegedly purchased a cable and tried to strangle the victim, and when that did not work, officers say they stabbed him to death and stole a gun and a safe.

Back's mother and step-father were in the courtroom as the details were revealed.
"This is something that really came out of nowhere.  I think the shock factor is still there for them, as it is really for the entire community of Waynesville.  These types of things aren't supposed to happen in Warren County and especially in Waynesville, and whey you have something like this happening it does shake your confidence in your own safety, when people who you trust as a friend or at least as a friendly acquaintance show up at your house purportedly to hang out."

The case now goes to the Warren County grand jury for possible indictments.  Prosecutor Fornshell says he expects more charges to be added to the aggravated murder accusations.

The suspects have pled not guilty.
