Three Pizza Delivery Drivers Robbed

COLLEGE HILL, Ohio (Angenette Levy) -- Three pizza delivery drivers have been robbed at gunpoint in the last two weeks and detectives believe two men are responsible for two of the incidents.

All of the robberies happened in College Hill along West North Bend Rd. A Happy's Pizza driver was held up at an apartment building in the 1400 block on January 18th. A man pointed a gun at the driver and stole his cash, pizza and his car. The car was found a short time later.

"I'm really concerned about my drivers for one. I don't want anything to happen to my drivers," said Sal Marouki, manager of Happy's Pizza.

The second robbery happened on January 27th down the street at an apartment building in the 1700 block.  Two men approached a driver from NYPD Pizza.  One was armed with a gun. The pair took pizza and cash.

Then, at the same building on Saturday night, another Happy's Pizza driver was held up by two men at the same apartment building.

"Took a gun, and asked him for the pizzas and the money.  The driver was aware of that and he just dropped the pizzas and ran away," Marouki said.

Cincinnati Police believe the robberies on January 27th and February 1st are connected.  All of the robberies took place between 9 p.m. and midnight.  Cincinnati Police Sgt. Mark Kelley is reaching out to all of the businesses that deliver food so they are aware of the similarities. He's hoping to coordinate an effort to keep the businesses informed.

"If a crime's been committed like it has in these locations, mark it down. Ask additional questions. Make sure you keep an idea of where these are occurring.  The phone number, if it's being used multiple times in these offenses we'll put that information out," Sgt. Kelley said.

Meanwhile, Sal Marouki hopes the robbers are caught before someone gets hurt.

"If they can come forward with information to us about who did that robbery we can do a reward for them. That's not a problem as long as it's the right information," Marouki said.

The description of the robbers is vague. They are black males dressed in black clothing who are carrying a handgun.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 513.352.3040.
