Cincinnati vies for 2016 Republican National Convention
CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Cincinnati will be one of eight cities that will vie for the Republican National Convention for 2016. It's one of three Ohio cities up for the convention.
Hamilton County GOP Chairman, Alex Triantafilou, says the city's bid submission to the RNC was received by the site selection committee.
Triantafilou says the city's 155 page submission meets or exceeds the requirements of the RNC. On Monday, a delegation will make a one hour presentation to the site selection committee. He says the effort to bring the convention here is a bi-partisan effort.
The other seven cities vying for the Convention are Cleveland, Columbus, Denver, Dallas, Kansas City, Las Vegas and Phoenix.
